Spring 2016 saw European SprayDry Technologies commence work on the installation of a large spray drying plant for an independently owned UK dairy.
As the year draws to an end, we are pleased to report that the installation is progressing well with the project on schedule for commissioning during Q2 2017.
Designed to dry a wide variety of dairy based products, the system comprises of a wet feed tank farm, tall form bustle spray dryer, external vibratory fluid bed, powder conveying systems, powder storage silos, automated packing line etc.
With an evaporative capacity of 1,200kg/hr, the plant has been designed by ESDT engineers to provide maximum flexibility in order to facilitate drying and conditioning of multiple products.
Fines powder recovery is achieved utilising ESDT’s in house designed high efficiency cyclones which are proven to achieve exceptional product recovery when compared to market standard.
A fines powder return system has been installed to provide agglomeration and is designed to allow powder to be returned at several different stages within the overall drying process.
Once the installation is completed, the plant will be commissioned by experienced ESDT site engineers to ensure that the systems performs inline with design parameters.
ESDT site personnel are also scheduled to provide comprehensive operator training and detailed maintenance training etc.
The system has been designed and manufactured in the UK.
